Objective Summary
The objective of this Phase II effort is to design, validate, and demonstrate a fully open-source, private 5G network platform for Resilient Tactical Edge Networks—integrating OCUDU, SD-Core, SD-RAN, and OSC components—to provide highly reliable, cost-effective, and scalable wide-area connectivity for autonomous field equipment, precision crop intelligence, and livestock monitoring. This platform will be validated at a representative rural site against specific key performance metrics, establishing a secure, interoperable, and procurement-ready reference architecture that supports both commercial precision agriculture and dual-use DoW mission-support applications.
The full objective, description, Phase I, II and III requirements and evaluation criteria are in the official topic on DSIP.
